Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed industries, societies, and daily life, but its growth has also raised pressing ethical, environmental, and human-centric concerns. The paper examines the concept of Sustainable Intelligence, an approach that integrates ethical frameworks, ecological responsibility, and human-centered design principles into AI development. By analyzing current AI systems, case studies, and emerging policies, it highlights how AI can be leveraged to support societal well-being without exacerbating environmental degradation or social inequities. The paper also explores strategies for embedding transparency, fairness, and accountability in AI models, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary collaboration between technologists, ethicists, and policymakers. It advocates for a holistic vision of AI that balances technological innovation with ecological sustainability and human welfare, presenting a roadmap for designing future intelligent systems that are both responsible and resilient.
