Abstract
Agriculture remains the backbone of rural economies in many developing nations, providing livelihoods, food security, and employment for a large proportion of the population. However, rapid population growth, climate change, land degradation, water scarcity, and limited access to modern technology have created significant challenges for agricultural productivity and rural development. In this context, sustainable agricultural development has emerged as a crucial approach to ensuring long-term economic growth, environmental conservation, and social well-being. By promoting sustainable farming practices, improving rural infrastructure, strengthening agricultural extension services, facilitating access to markets and credit, and encouraging community participation, governments and development agencies can create inclusive and resilient rural economies. Therefore, sustainable strategies for agricultural development are essential for achieving balanced rural development in developing nations. They not only contribute to economic prosperity and poverty reduction but also support environmental sustainability and social equity, thereby fostering comprehensive and long-lasting rural transformation.
